Courtyard Marriott | City Avenue
CJK McKissack was honored to oversee the construction of the Courtyard Marriott Philadelphia City Avenue, a prime destination for visitors looking to experience the vibrant heart of Philadelphia. We undertook a comprehensive renovation of an 8-story, 30-year-old hotel to meet Marriott’s standards for its conversion to a Courtyard Marriott. The extensive overhaul encompassed the hotel lobby, reception area, bar/restaurant, fitness center, retail spaces, function areas, and back-of-house facilities, as well as a complete renovation of 333 guestrooms and their corridors. Additionally, the Presidential Suite and two Junior Suites were updated.
The project also involved demolishing the old pool enclosure and constructing a modern pool structure while preserving the existing pool. The facility’s façade was refreshed with new EIFS panels and complementary painting, and the porte cochere was renovated. To enhance overall functionality, we replaced and upgraded the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems throughout the property.
Through meticulous planning, efficient management, and coordination with subcontractors, CJK McKissack delivered this project with the highest standards of quality, contributing to the creation of a hotel that blends modern amenities with timeless appeal.
